Kew are looking to commission creative individuals or agencies to help realise a major festival programme, on the rich and colourful subject of Spices, for the summer of 2015.
Kew is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a major visitor attraction, that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.
The festival in 2015 will be achieved through exciting collaborations that combine Kew’s expertise with those of people in a range of creative disciplines that deliver an excellent balance of experiences for visitors' enjoyment and learning. Experiences could include artistic interventions, interactive installations, performance, thought-provoking discussions, digital projects or horticulture, which bring the scientific and cultural stories associated with spice plants to life.
