The roll out of the North East Creative Timebank is now underway following its pilot phase in Teesside.
Two events took place at the end of April, one hosted at New Bridge Studios, Newcastle and the other hosted by Berwick Visual Arts, at The Maltings Berwick. At both events there were presentations from Sue Ball of Leeds Creative Timebank and from our mentors on the scheme, and the opportunity for those involved to take part in Skills Speed Dating sessions made the events a fun way to get to know each other. The Berwick event also enabled Berwick Artist in Residence, Bristol based artist Katie Davies, to get to know people in the region.
The workshops introduced artists to how the North East Creative Timebank works, and explored what skills they might be able to offer to the Timebank and what skills and experience they could find to support the development of artistic practice or projects.
Sign up was strong and the events will continue across the region, with Timebank socials and project crits planned on a regular basis. If you are based in the North East and wish to join the Timebank, please email : firstname.lastname@example.org
