Freelance Evaluator Sought for Art: Audience, Development, Discourse and Skills

Contemporary Visual Art Network NW (CVAN NW) seeks a highly experienced Freelance Evaluator for Art: Audience, Development, Discourse and Skills (Art: ADDS).

Funded by Arts Council England, Art: ADDS is a two-year project that uses and develops skills, knowledge and expertise in the North West to improve the ability of visual arts organisations to build upon and increase audiences.

The project will invest in a number of development opportunities for artists, arts organisations and art professionals in the region, and is structured around three interconnected priorities: critical writing, artist development and young people.

The Freelance Evaluator will be expected to devise and deliver a methodology to evaluate Art: ADDS, including collation and detailed analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and production of reports for key stakeholders and funders.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of successfully devising and delivering evaluations for arts organisations or other relevant settings.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon, Wednesday 17th September 2014; interviews will be held in the week commencing 29th September.

The duration of the freelance contract is from October 2014 to March 2016, and the fee is £6000. The evaluator will be based in own office, some travel across North West will be required.
