Redeye have announced the return of Hothouse, the annual showcase of new and upcoming photographic talent.
Hothouse is back in 2014 and at a brand new venue - Manchester Central Library - on 25 October.
Hothouse 2014 will feature a packed and varied programme of short talks from photographers about their work and projects. There will be books and portfolios on display and plenty of opportunities to chat, network and catch up with all the latest photographic news.
Throughout the day there will be short presentations from photographers about their recent work and projects. The full programme of talks will be announced on the Redeye website by Thursday 9th October.
If you have a project or body of work you would like to talk about, whether it’s complete or a work in progress, Redeye would love to hear from you. For details on how to apply please see http://www.redeye.org.uk/programme/hothouse-2014. In addition to the presentations there will also be the opportunity to look through these, other photographic portfolios and photography books.
Everyone is welcome – you just need to register on the Redeye website. You can bring your own book or portfolio – just let them know when you register.
Applications for presentations
Redeye are seeking photographers who can give short, 10 - 15 minute presentations about their work. These can either be a single project, series or connected body of work, and the slots are open to photographers from all fields – fine art, photojournalism, landscape, portrait, documentary, social, commercial, experimental – anything! If you are interested in presenting your work, please send up to 12 jpeg images (no bigger than 5MB in total), along with a few sentences about yourself and your work, to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on 5th October 2014. The aim is to include as many presentations as possible, and Redeye will let you know if you have been successful by 9th October.
