No Boundaries has announced the first wave of contributors for its 2017 conference. Taking place from 28-29 March 2017 at HOME, Manchester and Hull Truck Theatre, it is the arts industry annual conference with a focus on presenting questions and challenging new ideas on the role of arts and culture, finding positive approaches to influence change and support the sector’s growth in a rapidly changing, tumultuous world.
Frances Morris of Tate Modern; Nikesh Shukla, author and editor of The Good Immigrant; economist Vicky Pryce; Hammad Nassar, curator of Asia Art Archive; Claire Doherty of Situations; artist and co-founder of Touretteshero Jess Thom, and Rufus Norris of the National Theatre have been confirmed for the event.
The themes for the 2017 conference will explore many aspects of what has made 2016 such an unknown quantity alongside topics from within the sector that are ripe for debate. The rapid change of life this year, whether driven by politics, war, socio-economics, the environment or technology, continues to permeate through society. They wish to offer provocations and perspectives that enable you to take stock of what is happening now, and what might well be required in the future.
