The tenth edition of The Manchester Contemporary takes place this weekend, bringing together some of the most exciting up-and-coming galleries and artists from across the UK.
The Art Fair is committed to encouraging and developing a market for critically engaged contemporary art in the region. It provides an opportunity for audiences to access high calibre contemporary art by exhibiting international artists alongside those that are new and emerging.
As well as the main Fair, there are a series of workshops and talks taking place over the weekend including FAIR CITIES : Collectors, Collections and Collecting on Saturday 28 October. Organised by The International 3 on behalf of Contemporary Visual Art Network North West (CVAN NW), the event includes a presentation from Paul Hobson, Director of Modern Art Oxford and a Q&A chaired by Paulette Terry Brien, Co-Director of The International 3, Salford, that will explore and examine the motivations for and impact of public, private and corporate collecting.
The Manchester Contemporary takes place from 27-29 October 2017 at Manchester Central.
