The NewBridge Project in Newcastle is looking to appoint an Artist Development Coordinator to support the successful delivery of their Practice makes Practice artist development programme and The Collective Studio graduate development programme in partnership with Newcastle University.
The postholder will be responsible for making sure that the artist development programmes are relevant to contemporary artistic practice, working closely with artists to shape the various development strands ensuring they are led by artists.
The role will involve providing excellent support to artists and practitioners at different stages of their careers, with a key focus on the development of artistic talent in the North East of England.
The postholder will be responsible for the planning, production, logistics and delivery of our artist development programme working closely with NewBridge members, Programme Director and key partners.
The postholder will lead on the development and coordination of a programme of events, field trips, workshops and mentoring as well as feed into the delivery of our exhibitions & commissions and residency programmes. Creating opportunities for shared learning, critical conversation, space for networks to cultivate and alternative models of practice to develop.

Salary: £18,000 pro rata (2 days per week)
Contract: September 2017 – April 2018 (7 months – with potential to be extended, funding dependent)
