A bursary is currently available for a writer, artist or curator to attend one or more of the following events and develop a new piece of text in response to the discussions.
- Fictional Encounters - Thursday 5 April, Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art
- Staging and Film Sets - Thursday 26 July, The Grundy Art Gallery
- Sound and Listening - Saturday 18 August, The Whitworth Manchester
Recipients will receive a £200 fee and £50 towards travel expenses. Their developed text will be published on this is tomorrow and as such will need to be sympathetic to the publication's current writing style.

Please send a short biography, an outline of your interest in one of the given talks (500 words max), and a sample of your previous writing to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 26 February 2018. Please include 'What We Talk About' in the email subject line. To be eligible for a bursary you must be based in the North of the UK and have not had more than 6 prior pieces of writing published.
