The Live Art Development Agency (LADA) are inviting proposals for four new works for 'Edge of an Era: Archive' which will be presented online. The selected artists will be commissioned to respond to an archive of materials relating to a series of seminal performance art events which took place in the late 1980s, including 'EDGE 88', one of London's first site-specific performance/installation festivals.
The selected artists will be invited to choose one UK-based artist involved with the 1980s events, explore the archival material relating to their work and make a response. The resulting outcome will connect influential artists from the 1980s with current generations, be presented online and be featured as part of an event on December 2018 in London.
The project is led by Helena Goldwater, Rob La Frenais and LADA in partnership with Artsadmin and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
