Whitstable Biennale is looking to get to know artists who are working in North Kent and support their practice through their Artist Development Programme.
Over the next year Whitstable Biennale will host a series of events which will combine showcases of work by North Kent artists working with film, sound or performance (selected by open call) with presentations from invited speakers from local artist-led initiatives in Kent and the surrounding areas.
The events will be open to artists from across the county to come to meet other artists, see new work and find out about nearby organisations. They will be a chance for North Kent practitioners to show work to peers and curators, gain feedback, form new networks and find out more about opportunities to work with organisations who are currently commissioning artists close by.
The first showcase is on 21 February in the lecture theatre at UCA Rochester.
For more information and how to apply visit the Whitstable Biennale site.
Deadline: 31 January.
Those who wish to attend but do not want to show work can just turn up on the day.
