SENIOR PRODUCER FOR BOBBY BAKER
Daily Life Ltd, London N22
3 days a week
Up to £38,000 pa pro rata
Founded in 1995 by artist Bobby Baker, Daily Life Ltd (DLL) is an organisation that produces outstanding work across artistic disciplines. Our vision is to create great art that reaches places that art doesn’t usually reach. Our mission is to lead advocacy for change in the way people think about female artists and women’s art practice, including overcoming adversity and disadvantage, and celebrating age and experience.
Baker’s work focuses on undervalued and stigmatised aspects of everyday life and human behaviour, expressly undertaking to foreground the lives of women in the mainstream and bring status to everyday care, activity and labour.
DLL has a new role for a Senior Producer to become a pivotal part of the team and produce high quality, cross art form projects, installations, digital projects and exhibitions to showcase Bobby Baker’s thought provoking work. DLL recognises BB’s unique position as an older (aged 65+), disabled female artist with experience of the mental health system and related arts provision.
Working closely with Baker, you will be responsible for the practical delivery of projects and her vision whilst providing support on all aspects of her work, including conceptual planning and artistic reflection as necessary. As Senior Producer, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and funders, including Arts Council England. You will work collaboratively to produce projects on time, with accessibility and inclusiveness at the core. Excellent knowledge of the contemporary art practice and experience of commissioning and delivering arts projects are essential. You will relish the opportunity as Senior Producer to deliver these projects and will have a positive and “can do” attitude. You must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be financially literate, with evidence of producing within budget. A commitment to contributing to a working environment that supports the health and wellbeing of the team, its volunteers and participants is vital.
