BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art has exhibited the work of over 460 different international artists, received over 8 million visitors through the door since opening and welcomed 262,238 participants in learning activities last year alone.
Baltic are recruiting for a Producer (Education) to lead on the strategic development and delivery of learning and civic engagement initiatives for schools, colleges and teachers. This role will involve the continuation of a successful formal education programme, as well as initiating, researching and implementing further innovations that allow children and young people from all backgrounds to engage with and affect their world.
You will prepare and provide a multi-layered offer for schools, colleges and teachers which will include taught sessions, self-led resources and a programme of educator professional development whilst embedding civic themes of social action, neighborliness and hospitality within the formal programme.
The ideal candidate will have a well-developed knowledge of contemporary art, as well as an understanding of national education policy, the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, and the Creative Case for Diversity. Line management experience is desirable.
