New Geographies and the East Contemporary Visual Arts Network (ECVAN) are delighted to announce the artists selected to create ten major site-responsive visual arts commissions across the East of England. New Geographies is a three-year project, funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, to create a new map of the East of England based on personal thoughts, reflections and stories of unexplored or overlooked places, rather than on historic or economical centres.

CVAN EM's Document project receives critical coverage

CVAN EM has commissioned a piece of critical writing about its Document project, that follows six artists in the East Midlands to reflect on their experience as practising artists, at this time, in their voices. 

Artist and writer Tom Hackett, has in turn reflected on the project; how it came about, what it seeks to achieve, the six artists, and critically, its taking place in the East Midlands.

ACE announce National Lottery Project Grants

ACE announce National Lottery Project Grants

Arts Council England have announced that from March 2018, their Grants for the Arts fund will become Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants. 

Project Grants will become the new open access programme for arts and museum projects, and for arts projects in and with libraries. The fund will continue to help support thousands of individual artists, community and cultural organisations.
