This symposium is for creative practitioners, researchers, educators or just those interested in changing and developing the cultural landscape in and across the region.

There will be presentations by the panel, Kate Brindley, mima Director, Richard Forster, artist, Jill Morgan, Assistant Dean, School of Arts and Media, Teesside University and Annie O’Donnell, artist and PhD researcher, Newcastle University, about how others have approached art and place especially within global post-industrial contexts. Followed by an open discussion forum facility for critical dialogue for those wishing to debate shifts in the production, teaching and curation of art particularly our region.
